Review: Mothers Pumpkin Spice Cream Liqueur

by Jeff Ellingson

Mother Pumpkin SpiceMothers Pumpkin Spice cream liqueur is made in Princeton Minnesota and is bottled at 12.5% alcohol.  They are part of the Crosby Lakes Spirits Company that produces the Ricacha and Kinky brands and imports the Greenall’s Gin and Merry’s Irish Cream lines.  This product arrives in stores in September and is usually gone after Thanksgiving. The aroma is pumpkin with just a hint of cinnamon.  It pours to a medium cosistency and a milky orange color in my glass where I pick up a gingerbread scent.  The feel is creamy but not thick.  The flavor is pumpkin pie with just the right amount of spice and a little vanilla from the cream, followed by gingerbread cookie with a mild alcohol fade.  Make sure you pick up a couple of extra bottles because you will not want to wait until next September.
