Real cinnamon, rice and vanilla is infused before bottling at 80 proof.It pours to a milky tan color. The aroma is cinnamon ice cream with a healthy dose of vodka behind it. In my mouth the feel is smooth and creamy. The flavor enters with a cinnamon milkshake taste. Vanilla arrives at the midpoint. There is a hint of vodka flavor throughout and a medium mouth warming, followed by more vodka flavor that leaves a sting on the spicy finish. While there is a very authentic horchata flavor to this vodka, those expecting this 80 proof vodka to have the same gentle finish as the 27.5 proof Rum Chata will be overwhelmed, as the finish, while smooth, packs some heat.
