Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila was introduced May 2014 in the US. This is the follow up to their ultra, ultra premium Casa Dragones Jovan Tequila that was launched in 2008. It is small batch multi column distilled with 100% blue agave grown for 8-12 years on an estate 1200 meters above sea level, and pure natural spring water that travels from atop a volcano into a 70 meter deep natural underground aquifer. Each bottle is hand labeled, with the batch, bottle number, and date listed.The aroma is earthy agave, mint and citrus. The sweet agave entry has citrus and mint flavor building to a creamy yet juicy apple, lime and orange flavored fruit peak. It fades with a peppery sting and a semi dry mineral and vanilla creamy white grapefruit finish. While there is plenty of agave taste, this may be the most flavorful, fruit forward tequila I’ve tasted. I have no doubt Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila will make your margarita taste great, but at $60 or more per bottle, savor this tequila on the rocks or chilled in a Reidel Tequila glass.
