Stella Artois Cidre - CopyStella Artois Cidre was introduced by Anheuser Busch in the US in May 2013.  They describe it as a crisp distinctive European style cider designed to be savored and is very different than the sweeter domestic ciders.  It is made with hand picked apples from North and South America in Baldwinsville New York and is available in 4 packs of 12 ounce bottles and single 24 ounce bottles.The aroma is apple wine.  It pours to an amber color with medium carbonation and produces a light white head of carbonation when poured in my glass.  The initial crisp flavor is gone in an instant replaced with a dry wine like finish.  Anheuser Busch has targeted the white wine drinker with this cidre, and I feel Stella Artois Cidre may find more of an audience with that market than with your typical domestic hard apple cider fan.  While I find myself more in the crisp apple style camp there is no denying the quality of this product.
