Ciroc Pomegranate Vodka was just released. For now it is a Limited Edition release. Ciroc currently crafts seven year round flavored vodka’s, and four Limited Edition varieties. The vodka base is made from a blend of Ugni Blanc and Mauzac Blanc grapes. The juice is made into a wine. It takes 5 bottles of wine to create one bottle of Ciroc. The wine is distilled four times in copper column stills. A fifth distillation follows in a traditional custom copper pot still. Natural flavors are blended before bottling at 35 proof. The aroma leads with strawberry, Welch’s Grape juice, and POM Pomegranate juice. The sugary sweet strawberry entry is joined by pomegranate building to a juicy fruit peak. It fades with grape bubblegum and strawberry jam. The finish leaves tart pomegranate and sweet berry taste. Ciroc Pomegranate is a little sweeter than some of the other Ciroc flavored vodkas, but that sweetness only makes it easier to serve it straight and chilled in a martini or coupe glass.
