Review: Skatter Brain Cookie Dough Whiskey
Skatter Brain Cookie Dough is one of two new flavored whiskey’s just released. The other is Skatter Brain Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel. This is the fourth cookie dough flavored whiskey I’m aware of including Dough Ball, Dough Dough Bird, and Ole Smoky Cookie Dough. Skatter Brain is sold at Total Wine and More. Total Wine and More currently has 262 stores in 28 states. Since releasing Skatter Brain Peanut Butter Whiskey September 2020 they have added 7 additional whiskey flavors. Skatter Brain is produced by Universal Products in Princeton Minnesota with Canadian Whiskey, natural flavor and caramel color. The dalmatian pictured on the label with a chip chip hooray chant lets you know what type of cookie dough this whiskey is flavored with. The aroma leads with vanilla, brown sugar, oak, chocolate, and whiskey. Additional time brings out chocolate chip cookie notes. The sweet caramel and brown sugar entry is a little syrupy. Subtle whiskey flavor arrives building to a chocolate chip cookie peak. It fades with vanilla and finishes with caramel, oak, vanilla, and chocolate chip cookie. As someone who prefers their chocolate chip cookie dough baked as opposed to raw I’m not upset that I get more crispy cookie than cookie dough taste. A little more whiskey flavor would have pushed their score up even higher.
