Review: Grays Peak Vodka

by Jeff Ellingson

Grays Peak vodka - CopyGrays Peak vodka is made with premium corn that is distilled five times in small batches.  It is charcoal filtered before pure spring water that has been further filtered through reverse osmosis is added.  The name comes from Grays Peak, the highest mountain in the front range of the Southern Rocky Mountains. The aroma leads with corn, vanilla, and black pepper with an alcohol backing.  The corn flavored entry is not as creamy as most corn based vodkas.  Vanilla arrives before fading with black licorice, and a dry peppery charcoal flavored finish.
