Review: Pearl Pomegranate Vodka

Pearl Pomegranate vodka was the first pomegranate flavored vodka when it was introduced December 2005.  It was originally called Pearl Persephone.  It is one of 18 flavored vodka’s they craft in micro batches in Alberta Canada with pure water from Canadian Rocky Mountain streams and soft Canadian winter wheat.  The vodka is distilled 5 times and filtered 6 times before natural flavors including pomegranate are infused.The aroma is pomegranate and fruit punch.  The sweet pomegranate entry builds to a tart peak before fading with a wave of heat and black pepper.  It finishes with bitter pomegranate and old school vodka flavor.  While I liked the initial flavor, the finish is not as smooth as other Pearl flavors.
