Prichards Crystal Rum is one of seven rums they currently craft in an historic Kelso Tennessee schoolhouse. Master Distiller Phil Prichard has recently opened a second distillery in Nashville Tennessee to keep up with demand. The other rums are Cranberry, Key Lime, Peach Mango, Spiced, Fine, and Private Stock. His Crystal rum is made with the finest Grade A molasses made from sugar grown on Louisiana plantations. After a slow fermentation the rum is distilled five times in a small batch copper still and then bottled unaged. The rum is described as a traditional New England Style rum.The aroma is sweet creamy vanilla and banana with a rum backing. The sweet vanilla cream entry builds to a molasses cream peak before fading with a mild sting and a little backend heat that fades quickly with a long semidry vanilla and banana cream finish.
