Review: Deep Eddy Peach Vodka
Deep Eddy Peach Vodka was just launched nationwide. It is one of five flavored vodkas they craft in Austin Texas. The other flavors include Sweet Tea, Ruby Red, Cranberry, and Lemon. They also produce a Straight vodka. While this is the first new Deep Eddy flavor since Heaven Hill Brands acquired the brand August 2015, Deep Eddy founders, Clayton Christopher, and Chad Auler developed and signed off on this flavor. Deep Eddy Peach starts with their straight vodka as a base. This vodka is hand crafted with sweet corn and spring water from deep aquifers in Texas Hill Country. It is column distilled ten times in a 20 foot column still and slowly filtered six times over charcoal. All natural flavors including juice from real peaches is blended with the vodka before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka
Smirnoff No. 21 vodka is not only the worlds best selling vodka, it is the worlds best selling spirit. Pyotr Smirnoff first opened his distillery in Moscow in 1864 and after this distillery was nationalized by the Tsar, the family escaped Russia and moved several times finally settling in the Ukraine. Today Smirnoff is produced in several locations world wide including the US, where it is made with Midwest grown grain and produced in Plainfield Illinois. Review: Fuzzys Ultra Premium Vodka
Fuzzys Ultra Premium vodka was introduced in 2009. The vodka was named for and created by PGA Golfer Fuzzy Zoeller. Fuzzy won 10 PGA Tournaments in his career including the 1979 Masters and 1984 US Open. Fuzzy spent four years creating this vodka that is made from American corn. It is distilled five times and then filtered 10 times through charcoal and crushed lava rock. After distilling, a portion of the distillate is rested in new oak barrels. Pure Cascade Mountain Spring water is blended with the spirit to reduce to 80 proof. Read more
Review: Pickers Original Vodka
Pickers Original Vodka was introduced earlier this year along with a Blueberry and Blood Orange flavored vodka. They are created at the Speakeasy Spirits Distillery located in the historic west town neighborhood of Nashville Tennessee. Pickers vodka is crafted with non GMO corn that is distilled 11 times in a 32 foot state of the art Vendome column still that features 48 plates to remove impurities. Once distilled the vodka is filtered four times and then blended with pure Tennessee limestone water. Read more
Review: Prairie Organic Vodka
Prairie Organic vodka is crafted with a single vintage #2 yellow organic corn grown on three family farms in Minnesota. It is distilled to taste not a prescribed number of times at a farmer owned distillery in Benson Minnesota. The leftover corncobs are converted to fuel and the leftover distillers grain is used by local farmers for feed. They also create a cucumber flavored vodka and gin. Titos Vodka is made is Austin Texas at the states first and oldest legal distillery. When Tito’s was launched in 1997, it’s owner Tito Beverage was $88,000 in debt having maxed out 19 credit cards to start the business. Tito’s is crafted in small batches from 100% corn and water sourced from deep aquifers. Grays Peak vodka is made with premium corn that is distilled five times in small batches. It is charcoal filtered before pure spring water that has been further filtered through reverse osmosis is added.
