Review: Naughty Cow Cake

Naughty Cow Cake, chocolate milk for adults, joins the cake flavored alcohol craze that started with vodka and now also includes rum.  Produced in New Zealand at 20%Naughty Cow Cake alcohol and introduced in July of 2013 this is the second of the three Naughty Cow flavors.  Made with vodka and bottled with the same wrap around label as their original, Cake features a slice of yellow cake with vanilla frosting and a strawberry.  This leads me to believe this will be an entirely different flavor than the chocolate milk taste the original provided. Review: Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon

Bailey Vanilla CinnamonBaileys Vanilla Cinnamon was launched in August 2013, and it is one of six flavors now available from Baileys in the US.  The offer additional flavors in different markets.  Created with Madagascar vanilla and cinnamon my first thought was this must be their responce to the success of Rum Chata.  Taller and thinner than their Original Irish Cream bottle and featuring a vanilla blossom and cinnamon stick on the label, Baileys has created a fresh look for their entire line of Irish cream liqueurs. Review: Cruzan Velvet Cinn

Cruzan Velvet CinnAs rum horchata sales continued to grow Beam Inc. pulled the plug on Cruzan Rum Cream and on August 1, 2013 they introduced Cruzan Velvet Cinn.  This latest entry has positioned itself as the premium rum horchata option, with a robust taste of cinnamon.

The Cruzan Rum base is made from tropical rainwater and high quality molasses on the island of St. Croix.  While Cruzan is a well respected rum, the failure of Bushmill Irish Cream proved a popular alcohol brand mixed with cream wasn’t a guarantee for a successful recipe.  Read more »

Review: Adult S’mores

004Do you remember roasting marshmallows by a campfire and then mashing them in between graham crackers and chocolate?  Add a kick of premium vodka and that is the flavor two moms hoped to create in their kitchen.  Packaged in the same square milk bottle as their other 3 adult beverages, Adult S’mores is produced at 15% alcohol.  This is much lighter than the 20% alcohol their previous brands including Adult Chocolate Milk were created at. Review: O’Connor’s Irish Cream

013O’Connor’s Irish cream is made in Abbeyleix Ireland and imported by Fleetwood Distilling in Loma Mira California, I’ve only found it at Albertson’s and Albertson’s owned grocery stores.  In the bottle the aroma is chocolate caramel and whiskey.  It pours thick to a chocolate milk color awakening sweet milk chocolate notes with a hint of whiskey.  O’Connor’s feels very thick and creamy in my mouth.
