Review: Burnetts Cucumber Lime Vodka
Burnetts Cucumber Lime Vodka was introduced April 2016. It is one of 37 flavored vodkas currently produced by Heaven Hill Brands under the Burnetts label. This is the third brand of vodka to create a Cucumber Lime Vodka flavor. The other two are Rain, and Svedka. Burnetts Cucumber Lime Vodka is made from 100% grain in Bardstown Kentucky. Review: Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka
Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka was just released. It is one of 13 Svedka flavors currently available. Svedka is the number one imported vodka in the US. While cucumber may not be a flavor one thinks of when compiling a list of vodka flavors, this is the eighth cucumber flavored vodka I’ve reviewed, and there are probably another eight I haven’t reviewed yet. Each 750ml bottle of Svedka is made with 4 pounds of Swedish winter wheat. The vodka is distilled 5 times in a continuous distillation process. At the final stage the vodka is run through high performance purification columns five separate times to remove impurities. Natural flavors are then infused before bottling in Bardstown Kentucky. Review: Iceberg Icefusion Cucumber Vodka
Iceberg Icefusion Cucumber vodka was introduced October 2013 along with the previously reviewed Chocolate Mint, and Crème Brulee vodka flavors. It is made with Canadian grown corn and pure water melted from icebergs harvested after they have naturally separated from their mother iceberg. It is one of 18 flavored vodka’s they craft in micro batches in Alberta Canada with pure water from Canadian Rocky Mountain streams and soft Canadian winter wheat. Kru 82 Cucumber vodka is one of five vodka flavors Western Spirits has introduced since they launched their original unflavored Kru 82 in 2010. The other flavors include Pistachio, Peach Mango, Chocolate Truffle, and Wintergreen. It is made with French winter wheat and extra pure spring water. It is distilled 5 times in France before being flavored and bottled by Three Springs Bottling Company in Bowling Green Kentucky. Review: Effen Cucumber Vodka
Effen Cucumber vodka is one of five vodka flavors Effen creates in Holland starting with a 120 year old recipe. They start with Dutch grown wheat and pure spring water that has been further filtered through reverse osmosis. A low temperature continuous rectification process is used to avoid caramelization of the sugars . This eliminates the bitter after taste found in some vodka’s. The vodka is then filtered five times through active carbon in a bottom-up filtration process. Natural cucumber and vanilla flavor is added before bottling at 75 proof in their trademark rubber wrap around bottle. Effen was not the first cucumber flavored vodka nor the last. Review: Square One Cucumber Vodka
Square One Cucumber vodka was introduced in 2008. It is one of four cucumber flavored vodka’s that mysteriously arrived that year. The others include Crop, Pearl, and Rain. Since than others have followed including Effen, and Pinnacle. Cucumber, is one of four varieties of vodka they create in Rigby Idaho. The other flavors include Basil, Botanical, and their original unflavored. It is made with organic rye grown in North Dakota, and pristine water from the Teton Mountains of Wyoming. They use a four column distillation process and finish with a carbon filtration. The essence of Organic cucumber is infused before bottling at 80 proof. Read more
