Bacardi O rum was introduced in 2002. It is one of 15 flavored rums they create in Puerto Rico. It is made with molasses and a single strain of yeast, Le Levadura Bacardi that are fermented for 30 hours in closed fermentation tanks. The fermented molasses is divided with some column still and some beer still distilled. Each is aged separately in lightly charred American white oak barrels. Once mature the rums are blended and filtered through a mix of charcoal made from tropical woods and coconut shells. It is infused with the essence of Mandarin oranges from Sicily, Valencia oranges from Florida, and Dancy tangerines from Brazil, Israel, and Florida. Read more

Brinley Gold Shipwreck Mango rum is one of five rums made in St. Kitts. At 69 square miles St. Kitts is the smallest Country in the Western Hemisphere. Brinley rum was created when after 20 years Bob Brinley closed his medical supply business and the Brinley’s were looking for a way to stay on the island of St. Kitts. They set a mission of creating the smoothest natural flavored rums. They began selling their molasses based column distilled rum in 2002. In 2012 they rebranded the line to include the Shipwreck name to honor the recent discovery of a British ship sunk off the coast of St. Kitts, by the French during the battle of Frigate Bay in 1787. It is one of four rum varieties created by country music star Kenny Chesney and Mike Booth, the Master Blender at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. They also produce a seasonal Coconut Spiced Rum Cream. This is the same distillery that produces the Malibu and Cockspur brands of rum. Read more
