Sugar Island Coconut rum was introduced with their Spiced rum September 2013. It was created by the Trinchero Family Estates, the family behind over 27 brands of wine including their first, Sutter Home. Review: Malibu Original Coconut Rum
Malibu Original Coconut rum was not only the first coconut flavored rum, it was the Caribbeans first flavored rum. Malibu It is made with rum distilled at the West Indies Distillery in Barbados and bottled in Canada. The rum starts with molasses from the finest sugarcane crops and it is distilled three times. Natural coconut flavor is added before bottling at 21% alcohol. Malibu Coconut rum is still the worlds best selling coconut flavored rum and it is one of thirteen rum flavors Malibu currently makes. Review: Whalers Killer Coconut Rum
Whalers Killer Coconut rum is one of eight rum flavors Whalers creates that start with rum made according to an old Hawaiian recipe. Whalers is one of five rum brands owned by their parent company Heaven Hill in Bardstown Kentucky. It is triple distilled before natural coconut and pure vanilla flavor is added. They claim to use 25% more natural coconut flavor and they bottle it at 20% alcohol which is the lightest alcohol content I’ve seen for a coconut flavored rum. Read more
Review: Blue Chair Bay Banana Rum
Blue Chair Bay Banana rum was just introduced. It is one of four rum flavors created by country music star Kenny Chesney and Mike Booth the master distiller at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. This is the same distillery where Malibu and Cockspur rums are made. As the sole owner, Kenny Chesney put up millions of dollars to launch Blue Chair Bay rum last year. How has his investment paid off? He just introduced another flavor, so I’m guessing quite well. Read more

Review: Bacardi Wolf Berry Rum
Bacardi Wolf Berry rum was introduced June 2012 with their Black Razz flavored rum. It is one of 15 flavored rums they make in Puerto Rico. Wolf Berry is infused with natural blueberry and wolf berry, also known as Goji berry. The Goji Berry is native to China and is considered a super food because of its high nutritional properties. This has lead to increased sales and availability throughout North America. Bacardi also introduced new packaging with this product that reveals red claw marks across the label when the bottle is chilled. Read more
Review: Cruzan Raspberry Rum
Cruzan Raspberry rum is one of the thirteen flavors Cruzan creates in St. Croix with tropical rainwater and high quality molasses using a five column distillation process. They then remove the fusel oils, a by-product of alcohol production commonly blamed for everything from hangovers to the burn you feel swallowing most other flavored rums, before natural raspberry flavor is added. Bacardi Peach Red rum was introduced in 2007. It is one of 15 flavored rums they make in Puerto Rico. Bacardi has been distilling rum since 1852, and flavored rum since 1995 when they introduced their Limon flavor. Peach Red takes the sweet nectar from California Freestone peaches and infuses it with their rum before bottling at 35% alcohol. Read more
