Review: Three Olives Apples and Pears Vodka
Three Olives Apples and Pears Vodka will soon be released. I was able to pick up a bottle a little early. This is their 31st vodka variety. Watch for my review of their 32nd tomorrow. These are their first new flavors since last summers release of Peach, Pineapple, and Blueberry. Three-O Apples and Pears Vodka is made with English winter wheat and demineralized water from Lake Vyrnmy. It is quadruple distilled and triple filtered in England and shipped to Lawrenceburg Indiana where apple and pear flavors are infused before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: UV Blue Vodka
UV Blue Vodka was introduced in 2001. If you haven’t tasted this vodka before you probably haven’t been in college for at least ten years. It was the first of the now 22 vodka varieties UV creates with Midwest grown yellow corn. UV distills their vodka four times before purified water from deep aquifers in Princeton Minnesota that has been filtered through carbon and reverse osmosis is added to reduce to proof. Natural flavors including vine ripened raspberries and certified color are blended before bottling at 60 proof. Read more

Burnetts Tropical Fruit Vodka was introduced May 2013. It is one of 36 flavored vodkas produced in Bardstown Kentucky by Heaven Hill under the Burnetts label. They also produce a Fruit Punch flavored vodka. Burnetts starts with a vodka base made with 100% grain that is quadruple distilled and triple charcoal filtered. Flavors including Orange, Papaya, Coconut, Pineapple and Guava are added before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Five Wives Heavenly Vodka
Five Wives Heavenly Vodka was introduced October 2013 with their Sinful, Cinnamon flavored vodka. It is made in Ogden Utah with 100% corn and Wasatch Mountain Spring water gathered five gallons at a time. Imitation vanilla custard flavor is added before bottling at 70 proof. Ogden’s Own distillery is located near a transcontinental rail stop at the infamous two-bit street. “Any man’s desire fulfilled for two-bits.” A man could gamble, drink bootleg liquor, smoke opium, or befall a worse fate. Skyy Infusions Honeycrisp Apple Vodka was just released. It is one of 18 Infusion flavors currently in the Skyy product line. The Honeycrisp Apple was developed at the University of Minnesota in 1960 and released in 1991. In a short period of time Honeycrisp Apples have become one of the top ten selling apple varieties in the US. Skyy starts with Midwestern grown wheat that is quadruple distilled in Pekin Illinois. Upon its arrival in San Jose California the vodka is blended with water filtered through reverse osmosis and then triple filtered through California limestone. New Amsterdam Citron Vodka was introduced July 2013 along with the previously reviewed Coconut flavor. It is one of eight vodka flavors EJ Gallo creates in Modesto California under the New Amsterdam label. The other flavors include Mango, Peach, Red Berry, Orange, Pineapple, and their Original unflavored. Each starts with the finest quality grains. The vodka is distilled 5 times and filtered 3 times before natural lemon and lime flavors are infused. Read more
Review: Deep Eddy Peach Vodka
Deep Eddy Peach Vodka was just launched nationwide. It is one of five flavored vodkas they craft in Austin Texas. The other flavors include Sweet Tea, Ruby Red, Cranberry, and Lemon. They also produce a Straight vodka. While this is the first new Deep Eddy flavor since Heaven Hill Brands acquired the brand August 2015, Deep Eddy founders, Clayton Christopher, and Chad Auler developed and signed off on this flavor. Deep Eddy Peach starts with their straight vodka as a base. This vodka is hand crafted with sweet corn and spring water from deep aquifers in Texas Hill Country. It is column distilled ten times in a 20 foot column still and slowly filtered six times over charcoal. All natural flavors including juice from real peaches is blended with the vodka before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka
Svedka Cucumber Lime Vodka was just released. It is one of 13 Svedka flavors currently available. Svedka is the number one imported vodka in the US. While cucumber may not be a flavor one thinks of when compiling a list of vodka flavors, this is the eighth cucumber flavored vodka I’ve reviewed, and there are probably another eight I haven’t reviewed yet. Each 750ml bottle of Svedka is made with 4 pounds of Swedish winter wheat. The vodka is distilled 5 times in a continuous distillation process. At the final stage the vodka is run through high performance purification columns five separate times to remove impurities. Natural flavors are then infused before bottling in Bardstown Kentucky.
