Jim Beam Apple was just released in the US, after it was successfully launched in Europe a couple of months ago. It is made with corn, rye, barley malt, and limestone filtered water, that feeds into a 10,000 gallon cooker. Once cooked the mash heads to the fermenter tank where a 75 year old yeast strain is added. It is then distilled twice in a 35 foot tall column still and then aged for at least four years in brand new charred American oak barrels. Apple liqueur is then infused before bottling at 70 proof.
