Review: Truly Berry With Real Fruit Juice Mix Pack
On August 31 Boston Beer Company announced a reformulation of their entire original Truly Hard Seltzer product line. My first thought was I need to go out and purchase the current Truly so it would be easier to compare the old and new formulas. I guess I waiting too long as the new Truly, made with real fruit juice is already on stores shelves. I selected their Berry Mix pack to review first. The previous Truly Berry Mix Pack was made with Black Cherry, Wild Berry, Blueberry & Acai, and Raspberry Lime. The new Truly Berry Mix pack has replace Blueberry & Acai with Blueberry and Raspberry Lime with Strawberry Lime. Each new Truly flavor is made with real fruit juice. 2% in 3, almost 2% in the Black Cherry. Each still weigh in with 100 calories and 5% alcohol and the great news for me is none are made with stevia leaf sweetener. Read more 
Review: Cutwater Vodka Soda Mixed Pack
Cutwater Vodka Soda is made from Cutwater Spirits award winning vodka base that was six times distilled from corn and filtered 15 times. Each 12 ounce slim can is made with 1 shot of their vodka and naturally flavored soda water. Canteen Vodka Soda was founded by beverage industry veterans Brandon Cason, Co-Founder of Waterloo Sparkling Water and Deep Eddy Vodka, Daniel Barnes of Treaty Oak Whiskey and Waterloo Gin, and Caroline Fabacher. They launched Canteen In 2019 and have since introduced Cantina Tequila Soda and Canteen Gin Spritz. Review: High Noon Sun Sips Lemon
High Noon Sun Sips Lemon was introduced May 2022. It is sold in an individual flavor four pack. Lemon is the only one of the 11 High Noon Sun Sips flavors not currently available in a variety pack. Stay tuned as this will not be the case by the end of 2022. E&J Gallo launched the High Noon Sun Sips brand in 2019 and since then they have enjoyed dramatic sales growth. Instead of launching High Noon as a vodka seltzer or canned cocktail, High Noon from the start has been positioned as a hard seltzer. While the High Noon variety packs still promote the brand as a hard seltzer, the can itself refers to the brand as Vodka & Soda. Review: Rancho La Gloria Ranch Water
Rancho La Gloria Ranch water was originally launched in 2020 as Texas Ranch Water with two flavors of blue agave hard seltzer, Grapefruit, and Lime. They recently rebranded to the Rancho La Gloria name to align more with the rest of their product line which includes Rancho La Gloria Agavida, a 100% blue agave sparkling wine sold in peach, strawberry, mango, and green apple flavors, and Rancho La Gloria Cocktails. They also just announced the release of Rancho La Gloria Infused Tequila. That is available in Jalapeno Lime, and Pink Lemonade. Rancho La Gloria Ranch Water is made in Mexico with filtered carbonated water, alcohol from cane sugar and 100% blue agave, cane sugar and natural flavors. Their two newest flavors Watermelon and Tangerine, are made with real fruit juice. Each 12 ounce can weights in with 5% alcohol, and 100 calories. High Noon Sun Sips Pool Pack was released May 2022. It is sold in a four flavor 8 pack of 12 ounce slim cans. High Noon has introduced 2 new flavors for this mix pack Guava, and Kiwi. This is one of three 8 can mix packs High Noon current sells. They also have a 12 can mix pack and they also sell individual flavor 4 packs. Originally launched in 2019 High Noon now offers 11 different flavors. Each can weighs in with 100 calories and 4.5% alcohol. 4 Hands Raspberry Lemonade was released in June. It is one of 9 seasonal hard seltzers crafted at 4 Hands Brewing Company in St. Louis Missouri. 4 Hands also crafts 3 year round hard seltzers, 10 core beers, 23 seasonal beers and 4 Limited Release beers. 4 Hands Raspberry Lemonade was influenced by the classic ice cream push pop. Review: Country Luau Spirits
Country Luau Spirits is a canned cocktail that is part RTD cocktail and part premium spirit seltzer. It was founded by Adam Kost who worked in the beverage industry developing brands for 20 years including time at Heineken USA, Pernod Richard, and more recently with Waterloo Sparkling Water. Country Luau was launched in April and is currently available in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Arkansas. It is also available for online purchase with shipment to 38 states. The four flavor varieties include Strawberry Daq. Shack made with Florida rum, Mango Mosa, and Pineapple Jalapen-Y’all, made with 11 times distilled vodka, and Yuzu Ranch Water made with 100% agave distilled from Highland grown agave. Labatt Blue Light Seltzer Tart was introduced this spring. Labatt Blue Light Seltzer is produced in Rochester New York at the Genesee Brewery. Labatt also updated their Blue Light Seltzer Mixer pack this year with the addition of Black Cherry and Watermelon. Both are sold in a four flavor 12 can variety pack. Each 12 ounce slim can is made from a malt base with natural flavors and weigh in with 5% alcohol and 100 calories. Sour and in this case Tart seem to be another growing segment of the ever expanding world of hard seltzers. Read more
