Review: Patron Citronge Lime Liqueur

Patron citronge lime - CopyPatron Citronge Lime Liqueur was launched September 2014.  This is the long awaited followup to their Cironge Orange Liqueur that was first introduced in 1992.  It is made with the highest quality Persian limes from the Mexican states of Veracruz, Michoacán, and Colima, neutral grain spirits, and pure cane sugar.  No artificial flavors are added.  The 70 proof PC Lime is packaged in the same cork finished, extended neck bottle, as their Orange Citronge. Review: Baileys Salted Caramel Irish Cream Liqueur

baileys salted caramel - CopyBaileys Salted Caramel Irish Cream Liqueur was introduced just in time for Thanksgiving, or as some people call it, the start of Irish cream season.  It replaces Baileys with a hint of Caramel.  In one year Baileys has completely revamped their flavored line of Irish Cream.  Gone are their Hint of Caramel, Coffee, Mint, and Hazelnut.  These flavors have been replaced with Chocolate Cherry, Vanilla Cinnamon, and now Salted Caramel.  By my count that leaves us one down from last year, maybe Baileys has a pre-Christmas surprise.  If that’s the case I’m hoping they start sharing their Orange Truffle or Chocolat Luxe flavors.  These are two flavors Baileys has kept to themselves across the pond. Review: Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum Cream

blue chair bay spiced coconut cream rum - CopyBlue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum Cream was just introduced and it will only be available for a limited time.  Every bottle they created has already been sold to their distributors and once its gone, it’s gone.  It joins the four year round rums created by country music star Kenny Chesney and Mike Booth, the Master Distiller at The West Indies rum Distillery in Barbados.  They start with their Coconut rum and add real cream, with island and holiday spices before bottling at 30 proof in a holiday red bottle even Santa would approve of. Review: Sweet Revenge Liqueur

sweet revenge liqueur - CopySweet Revenge Liqueur was introduced in 2012.  It was created by Independence Spirits, the company also behind Domaine De Canton, a ginger and cognac liqueur.  They describe Sweet Revenge as the Original Wild Strawberry Sour Mash Liqueur.  It is made in Philadelphia Pennsylvania with sour mash whiskey and natural flavors including wild strawberry and tangy citrus.  The color is also natural.  It is bottled at a healthy 77 proof so it should not be confused with the similar colored Kinky or X-Rated liqueurs which are produced at 34 proof.  $1 from every 750ml bottle sold in October goes to breast cancer support nationwide. Review: Baileys Chocolate Cherry Irish Cream

002 - CopyBaileys Chocolate Cherry Irish Cream was just launched and I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle a little early.  It is one of six Irish Cream flavors Baileys currently creates for the US market.  While I had heard rumblings of a new Baileys flavor to replace the recently departed Baileys with a Hint Of Mint Chocolate, I had not heard any specifics.  My initial thought was Baileys might start bringing over some of the tempting flavors they have kept on their side of the pond.  Flavors like Orange Truffle, Biscotti, or possibly even their Chocolat Luxe.  While I have not given up hope of tasting those three flavors, I am very excited to break open my bottle of their new Chocolate Cherry.  Baileys describes the taste as their Original Baileys blended with luscious chocolate and seductive dark cherries.  I can’t wait. Review: Tippy Cow Shamrock Mint Rum Cream

Tippy Cow Shamrock Mint Rum CreamTippy Cow Shamrock Mint Rum Cream arrives in stores just in time for St. Patrick’s day.  It is one of four rum cream flavors made in Pewaukee Wisconsin by Midwest Custom Bottling.  They start with Wisconsin dairy cream and add Caribbean rum, natural flavors and yes, some certified color to give it a Shamrock Shake appearance.  With Baileys no longer making their mint flavored Irish cream, Tippy Cow Mint Shamrock should be a big seller this week. Review: Tippy Cow Chocolate Rum Cream

Tippy cow chocolate rum creamTippy Cow Chocolate Rum Cream is one of four Caribbean Rum creams that were introduced in February 2014.  It is made in Pewaukee Wisconsin by Midwest Custom Bottling with fresh Wisconsin dairy cream, Caribbean rum, and natural flavors.  Midwest is the group behind Rum Chata, so gaining shelf space in liquor stores shouldn’t be an issue.  From the chocolate milk flavor to the glass quart milk style bottle, Tippy Cow appears to be an Adult Chocolate Milk clone.  Their rum base and 14% alcohol content thou is quite different than the vodka base and 20% alcohol content Adult Chocolate Milk is created with.
