Smirnoff Sourced Pineapple Vodka was just released along with the previously reviewed Cranberry Apple, and Ruby Red Grapefruit flavors. Unlike the other Smirnoff flavored vodka’s that are made with their Recipe 21 vodka as a base, the Sourced line is gluten free and most likely made from a corn base. 10% real fruit juice from concentrate, with no high fructose corn syrup is blended with certified colors, before bottling at 60 proof. Review: Smirnoff Sourced Cranberry Apple Vodka
Smirnoff Sourced Cranberry Apple Vodka was just released. It is one of three vodka flavors Diageo has introduced in their Smirnoff Sourced line of flavored vodka. The other two flavors include Pineapple, and Ruby Red Grapefruit. Each flavor is made with 10% real fruit juice from concentrate, bottled at 60 proof, with certified colors, and no high fructose corn syrup. The Cranberry Apple flavor also has Elderberry extract added. Smirnoff Sourced is gluten free, leading me to believe the vodka base is distilled from corn. I will update this post when more information is available. Read more

Review: Xellent Vodka
Xellent Vodka is crafted by Andreas Affentrager a third generation distiller whose Grandfather Hans Affentrager built the distillery in 1918. Xellent is made with Picasso and Matador Rye grown by only 18 farmers in small fields in Central Switzerland in the Alpine foreland at heights of 500-800 meters above sea level. It is triple distilled starting in a traditional small copper alembic still. A second distillation follows in a copper column still with 45 bubble cap trays. A third distillation completes the process. The vodka then rests for several months before pure Titlis glacier water from the Swiss Alps is blended with the vodka to reduce to 80 proof. Read more
