Review: Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Vodka

Belvedere Pink Grapefruit - CopyBelvedere Pink Grapefruit vodka was introduced in 2010 and it is one of eleven vodkas Belvedere not creates in Zyrardow Poland.  It is made with Dankowskie Gold Rye and artisian well water that undergoes an 11 step process to insure it maintains its naturally soft and additive free character.  It is then distilled four times and filtered twice before being shipped to Collonges La Rouge France.  Upon arrival Argentinean and Spanish grapefruit, fresh ginger, and Spanish spring lemons are added using a maceration process that uses only real fruit which soaks up to five weeks drawing out all of the flavors.  Belvedere Pink Grapefruit is bottled at 40% alcohol, slightly higher than most flavored vodkas. Review: Ciroc Red Berry Vodka

ciroc red berry - CopyCiroc Red Berry vodka was introduced in 2010 and it is one of five vodka flavors created by Diageo but best known as Diddy’s vodka.  It is crafted in Southern France from the juice of Ugni Blanc grapes that are distilled four times in a stainless steel column still and the juice from Mauzac Blanc grapes that are distilled once in a copper continuous still.  Once distilled they are blended together and distilled a final time in a copper pot still.  Natural wild raspberries and fresh strawberries are infused before bottling at 70 proof. Review: Charbay Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka

Charbay Ruby Red Grapefruit - CopyCharbay Ruby Red Grapefruit vodka is one of seven vodkas made in Napa Valley by the Karakasevic family.  Their Ruby Red vodka starts with their clear vodka as a base.  This vodka is crafted with Midwest grown corn and rye.  They use a classic copper Alambic Charentais pot still along with a proprietary distillation process and distill to 192 proof.  Pure spring water that has been filtered to 3PPM is used to reduce to 80 proof.  One batch of Ruby Red is made each year with Texas Rio Star Grapefruits.  They are picked in February at their peak of freshness.  The entire fruit is immediately shredded.  Extracting the flavors and colors takes up to 6 months before it is blended with their original and bottled at 40% alcohol. Pearl caramel vodkaPearl Caramel vodka was introduced in 2010.  It is one of 18 flavors St. Louis based Luxco creates under the Pearl label.  Pearl crafts their vodka in micro batches using pure water from Canadian Rocky Mountain streams and soft Canadian winter wheat.  It is distilled five times and filtered six times before natural flavors are infused.  It is bottled at 35% alcohol. Review: Finlandia Redberry Vodka

Finlandia Redberry - CopyFinlandia Redberry vodka was introduced in the US in 2011 and it is one of nine flavors Finlandia currently creates in Koskenkorva Finland.  They start with pure glacial spring water and the finest six row barley.  A continuous distillation process with more than 200 distillation steps that leaves no impurities to filter is used.  All natural berry flavor is infused and color is added before bottling at 37.5% alcohol. Review Deep Eddy Cranberry Vodka

Deep eddy cranberry - CopyDeep Eddy Cranberry vodka was introduced in February 2014.  It is made in Austin Texas with sweet corn, pure cane sugar, and spring water from deep aquifers in Texas Hill Country.  It is column distilled ten times in a 20 foot column still before slowly filtered six times over charcoal.  Juice from cranberry’s harvested from family owned farms in Massachusetts and pure cane sugar are then added.
