Review: Naked Jay Big Dill Vodka

Naked Jay Big Dill - CopyNaked Jay Big Dill vodka was introduced in 2011.  The inspiration came when Jason Zimecki ran out of mixers while at a football tailgate and combined vodka with leftover pickle juice.  It is made with grain spirits and quadruple distilled by Sazerac in Louisville Kentucky.  Bottled at 30% alcohol, Big Dill is one of 4 Naked Jay vodka flavors.   Read more »

Review: Stoli Salted Karamel Vodka

Stoli Salted Karamel - CopyStoli Salted Karamel vodka was introduced in July of 2012.  It was the first salted caramel flavored vodka.  At last count there are now three others.  It is one of 17 flavors Stoli now produces in Latvia.  They start with wheat and pure artesian well water and they are distilled three times and filtered four times.  Salted Karamel is the second of three flavors now included in Stoli’s Indulgent flavor line.  Read more »

Review: Three Olives Marilyn Monroe Strawberry

Three Olives Marilyn Monroe Strawberry - CopyThree Olives Marilyn Monroe Strawberry vodka was introduced in March 2013.  It is distilled in England with English winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales.  It is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal.  Natural and artificial flavor is added in Lawrenceburg Indiana where it is bottled at 35% alcohol.  It is one of the 24 flavors Three-O now offers.  After creating a vodka tribute to Sweet Tarts, Mountain Dew, and Bubble Gum with their Tartz, Dude, and Bubble flavors, they have decided to honor their first celebrity.  The bottle also features a photo from the film Seven Year Itch with Marilyn standing over the subway grate with her dress billowing up. Review: Three Olives Dude Vodka

Dude Vodka - CopyThree Olives Dude Vodka is 1 of 25 vodka flavors now available from Three Olives.  With 3 different Root Beer flavored and 2 different Cola flavored vodka’s currently being produced, is anyone surprised there is also a Mountain Dew flavored vodka?  It is distilled in England with English wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales.  It is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal.  Natural flavors and the same unnatural yellow green fluorescent color as the soft drink that inspired the flavor are added in Lawrenceburg Indiana before bottling at 35% alcohol. Review: Pinnacle Cinnabon Vodka

Pinnacle Cinnamon Roll - CopyPinnacle Cinnabon vodka is the newest flavor introduced by Beam under their Pinnacle banner.  It is made with vodka imported from France and bottled with imitation flavor in Frankfort Kentucky.  The adhesive label on their trademark blue bottle features a cinnamon roll that looks more like one I baked from a tube, than one I purchased at a mall.    With over 70 different Cinnabon products, and 40 different Pinnacle Vodka flavors already available, it was only a matter of time before the two joined forces.  After rejecting the first 14 cinnamon roll flavored vodka combinations, Pinnacle finally created one good enough to include the Cinnabon name. Review: Ciroc Coconut Vodka

Ciroc Coconut - CopyCiroc Coconut Vodka was introduced in 2010 and is one of 5 flavors produced by Diageo and backed by Diddy.  It is crafted in Southern France from the juice of Ugni Blanc grapes that are distilled four times in a stainless steel column still and the juice from Mauzac Blanc grapes that are distilled once in a copper continuous still.  Once distilled they are blended together and distilled a final time in a copper pot still.  Natural coconut and tropical flavors are infused with the vodka before bottled at 35% alcohol in their trademark tall color coded bottle that looks great behind any bar. Review: Svedka Strawberry Colada Vodka

Svedka Strawberry Colada - CopySvedka Strawberry Colada vodka was introduced in April 2013 along with Orange Cream Pop.  After the successful release of their Colada vodka in 2012, Svedka added this line extension which starts with strawberry flavored vodka.  Made in Sweden with winter wheat and ice cold water from underground springs it is distilled 5 times then filtered 5 times.  A blend of natural strawberry pineapple and coconut flavor is then added before bottling at 35% alcohol. Review: Three Olives Loopy Vodka

Three Olives Loopy - CopyThree Olives Loopy vodka is their tribute to Fruit Loops cereal.  It is made with vodka distilled in England with winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales.  It is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal.  Natural flavors are added in Lawrenceburg Indiana at 35% alcohol.  While the original Fruit Loops cereal came with red, orange, and yellow colored O’s, they added green, purple and blue in the 1990’s.  This did not affect the flavor as anyone who has sampled the individual colors can tell you, all of their colors taste the same.
