Introduced in 2005 The Irishman Superior Irish Cream is one of the few Irish creams made using 100% Irish Whiskey as their only spirit. In 1999 the Walsh family bottled the first Hot Irishman an Irish Coffee drink that only required adding hot water and whipped cream to create the perfect Irish Coffee. Poured to a thin milky caramel color I pick up scents of vanilla and butterscotch. In my mouth the feel is milky thin. The initial creamy flavor gives way to toffee followed by a slightly bitter combination of butterscotch and whiskey fading to a finish of orange rind and butterscotch.
