Review: Boardroom Rum
Boardroom Rum was released by Boardroom Spirits Distillery in Lansdale Pennsylvania November 2016. This is a bottle that has been sitting on my shelf waiting to be reviewed for some time now. I have been impressed with the other spirits I have reviewed from this distillery. I remember being exciting when this bottle arrived but when you have a bar with over 1800 spirits sometimes a bottle gets hidden behind others before you get a chance to review. What led me to search for this bottle was the information that Boardroom would soon be announcing the release of several new spirits. Boardroom Spirits Distillery was founded and built by three former Management Consultants, Vlad Mamedov, his young brother Malat, and his wife Zsuzsa Palotas. August 2017 Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine invested in and became part owner of the distillery with the other three. Boardroom Spirits currently also produces Boardroom Gin, Boardroom Vodka, a Fresh Cranberry and Fresh Citrus Vodka, a Beet Spirit, and Carrot Spirit. Boardroom Rum is made from 100% organic cane. It is fermented and distilled in small batches in-house. Read more
Review: Silver Moon Vodka
Silver Moon Vodka was introduced May 2016. It was the first spirit produced at Kerr Creek Distillery in Walton New York. They have since added an Apple Flavored Vodka, Easy Speaker Bourbon, and Ishka Triple Malt Whiskey. Kerr Creek Distillery is a New York State Farm Distillery owned and operated by Matthew and Jessica White and her parents Bob and Loretta Beckman. Silver Moon Vodka is made from a proprietary blend of locally grown potatoes, cane sugar, and fresh mountain spring water. It took several years to find the right blend of potatoes used to craft this vodka. One of the potatoes included is Katahdin, an heirloom variety developed on Presque Isle Maine in 1932. Cane sugar makes the potatoes easier to work with and avoids the need for chemical clearing agents. Read more
Review: Arctic Chill Hard Seltzer The Weekender Mix

Review: Roofraiser Vodka
Roofraiser Vodka is one of over a dozen spirits crafted at Dented Brick Distillery in South Salt Lake City Utah. Some of the other spirits include Antelope Island Rum, Jan’s Premium Craft Rum, Great Basin Bristlecone Gin, Hugh Moon Whiskey, and Dented Brick Premium Craft Vodka, Gin, and Rum. The distillery was build on land that was once the farm of Utah’s first distiller of record. Hugh Moon produced whiskey in Salt Lake City for early pioneers starting in the 1850’s. Included in the purchase was a brick home where legend has it, during a gunfight that killed the owner on his front porch, the bullets left dents in the bricks. Those bricks were hand removed and are now part of the newly constructed distillery. Roofraiser vodka takes its name from the fact that the newly constructed distillery was not tall enough to house the 28 foot custom copper still they purchased to craft their spirits. The roof was raised to accommodate the still. Roofraiser is made from 50% organic red winter wheat, 50% pumpernickel rye and snow melt water from Utah’s Wasatch Mountains that flows through the earth into their private well. The grain is all non GMO, and is grown in Utah. Roofraiser Vodka is fermented, small batch distilled, and bottled on site. Read more
Review: YeYo Silver Tequila
YeYo Silver Tequila was founded by Jon Bullinger in 2010. Jon traversed the Highlands of Arandas and came upon a family run farm harvesting agave. After testing, tasting and scoring hundreds of tequila in search of the perfect combination of citrus agave and pepper Jon selected Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados to produce YeYo Silver Tequila. This distillery makes several tequilas including Don Weber, Tequila Cabeza, and Tequila Honor del Castillo. YeYo is made from single estate 100% Blue Agave that is slow roasted for 72 hours in traditional brick ovens. After fermenting for 200 hours with a serenade of Spanish classical music playing to relax the juice it is double distilled in copper pot stills. YeYo is a tequila that had been on our radar for years. Initially it was only available in Oregon. Texas was added but by 2014 it was gone. It reappeared near the end of 2019 with expanded distribution, and a new bottle. The tequila itself remained the same and it is still produced at NOM 1414. Read more

Review: Seek Out Real Hard Seltzer
Seek Out Real Hard Seltzer was launched March 2019 by 2 Towns Ciderhouse . 2 Towns Ciderhouse has founded by Lee Larsen and Aaron Sarnoff-Wood and they have been crafted 2 Towns Hard Cider since 2010. Unlike most hard seltzers that are made from a sugar alcohol, or malt beverage, Seek Out is made from an apple wine base. Today we are reviewing the Seek Out Real Hard Seltzer 12 can variety pack. Currently the 12 pack consists of 3 cans each of Raspberry and Meyer Lemon, Key Lime and Mint, Pineapple and Passion Fruit, and Clementine and Grapefruit. A fifth flavor Cucumber and Juniper was originally part of this 12 can variety pack but it was replaced by their newest flavor Clementine and Grapefruit. Cucumber and Juniper is still available in it’s own individual flavor 6 pack. Each flavor consists of 5 ingredients. Water, apple wine, fruit juice flavors of each fruit ingredient, and fruit extract from one of the fruit flavors. Key Lime Mint has pure mint extract instead of the secondary juice the other hard seltzers have. Each flavor variety weighs in at 5% alcohol, with 100 calories and 2G of sugar from the fruit juice. Review: Misadventure Vodka
Misadventure Vodka is the first spirit in the world to be made from surplus baked goods, making Misadventure the first carbon negative spirit. It all started with a chance meeting between Whit Rigali and Samuel Chereskin. Whit the bartender, wanted to create local Southern California spirits and Sam the agricultural economist wanted to find ways to improve the food system. Currently 40% of the food made in the US is never eaten. If food waste were a country it would be the third largest contributor of green house gases behind the US and China. After four years of R&D in a cramped garage Misadventure Vodka was born. Once a week Samuel takes a van to a local food bank and picks up a load of a thousand pounds of bread products the food bank can no longer give away because they are past the sell by date. This includes Twinkies, cupcakes, donuts, cookies, and bread. Each 750 ml bottle of Misadventure Vodka contains about 2 pounds of baked goods. When the bread products arrive at the distillery they are blended with water and yeast to ferment. Once fermented it is distilled 12 times and carbon filtered over 180 times. It is then bottled with zero additives. Read more
