The vodka is distilled four times and filtered twice, first through carbon and then a finer mechanical filtration process. Fresh peaches and apricots are gently soaked for up to five weeks. The flavors and aromas are extracted in a proprietary maceration process. These essential oils are then blended with the vodka. No sugar or artificial flavor is added before bottling at 80 proof.The aroma is fresh peach and apricot, with the lead fruit alternating each time I raise the glass. The subtle fresh peach entry is joined by natural apricot taste. The natural fruit flavors build to a juicy fruit and vanilla peak. The flavor fades quickly with a warm peppery sting and the semi dry mineral finish is lightly bitter. There is a tasty apricot aftertaste that is overshadowed by vodka and bitter anise flavor. While I enjoyed the natural fruit flavor, I would have preferred more flavor volume, and a longer finish, with less vodka and charcoal filtered taste on the finish.
