Burnetts Tropical Fruit Vodka was introduced May 2013.  It is one of 36 flavored vodkas produced in Bardstown Kentucky by Heaven Hill under the Burnetts label.  They also produce a Fruit Punch flavored vodka.  Burnetts starts with a vodka base made with 100% grain that is quadruple distilled and triple charcoal filtered.  Flavors including Orange, Papaya, Coconut, Pineapple and Guava are added before bottling at 70 proof.The aroma leads with guava with notes of pineapple, coconut, and orange.  The tropical fruit entry is sweet and slightly syrupy.  As with the aroma the flavor leads with guava.  Pineapple and papaya flavor arrive building to a bright tropical fruit peak.  It fades with a long warm peppery sting with orange flavor.  It finishes with a bitter orange peel with a hint of coconut taste.  Burnetts Tropical Fruit vodka may be a little syrupy and the finish could be a little smoother, but in between this is a tasty vodka that will work well in cocktails.
