Cava de Oro Plata Tequila is produced at Tequileria Puerta de Hierro in El Arenal, Jalisco Mexico. The distillery was founded by the Partidas family who continue to operate it today. The tequila is artfully crafted under the guidance of the Partidas Family, third generation distillers. Cava de Oro Plata is made using traditional artisanal methods. This tequila was previously sold as Cava de Oro Silver Tequila and packaged in a distinctive green hand blown glass bottle. The distillery was originally named Leticia Hermosilla Ravelero. They currently produce five expression including Reposado, Anejo, Extra Anejo, and Extra Anejo Cristalino. The aroma is vanilla, pineapple, herbal agave, and citrus. The sweet agave and vanilla entry is joined by citrus building to a vanilla pineapple peak. It fades with earthy agave and pear flavor. The finish is warm, lightly peppered, and a little salty. How you view Cava de Oro Plata will depend on how you prefer your tequila. Both sides will agree the sweet agave flavor of Cava de Oro Plata will mix well in cocktails.
