Ciderboys Cranberry Road Cider was introduced in 2012. It is one of five seasonal ciders created at the Stevens Point Brewery in Stevens Point Wisconsin. They also brew two year round flavors. It is available September 1-November 30. Cranberry Road blends pure apple juice from Washington state apples and cranberry juice along with a special hard cider yeast from France. The mix is fermented at cool temperatures for two weeks in stainless steel tanks and then filtered before bottling at 5% alcohol.It pours to a strawberry blonde color with medium carbonation and a thin white head. The aroma is apple with a hint of berry. The flavor enters with crisp apple and a hint of strawberry building to a tart cranberry peak and a semi dry finish. While the tartness of this cider may keep me from drinking this all night long, one is certainly very refreshing.
