Review: Corrido Blanco Tequila

by Jeff Ellingson

Corrido Blanco tequila - CopyCorrido Blanco Tequila was introduced in 2009.  It is made with 100% Los Altos Blue Weber agave grown on a single estate.  The agave is slow cooked in stainless steel ovens and double distilled.  Corrido is named for a Mexican song and poetry style. The aroma is baked agave with a fruit backing.  The soft earthy agave entry builds to a sweet fruit peak that approaches orange, and fades with anise and a sprinkle of pepper that gently warms the mouth leaving a lightly roasted agave taste on the very smooth, semi dry finish.
