Crispin Rose Hard Cider was recently introduced. Founders Joe and Lesley Heron started making cider in Minnesota in 2004 after moving to the US from South Africa. Rose is bottled at 5% ABV and sold in 6 packs of 12 oz. bottles. It pours to what Crispin describes as a dusty pink color, with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is strawberry and vanilla with bittersweet apple and a floral rose backing . The fresh strawberry and rose petal entry is joined by tart rhubarb and sweet pear juice flavor. It fades with creamy vanilla and hibiscus. The finish is dry and bittersweet, leaving French bittersweet apple taste.
