Review: Dented Brick Premium Vodka
Dented Brick Premium Vodka is made at Dented Brick Distillery in South Salt Lake Utah. Marc Christensen founded Dented Brick Distillery in 2015 with a goal of building a world class distillery in one of the driest American states. He selected a property with an artesian well and invested over $4 million in the facility including a custom built Vendome Copper and Brass Works still. They currently produce 16 different spirits including whiskey, gin, rum, tequila, and 2 unflavored vodka’s. Dented Brick Craft vodka is made from 100% Non GMO corn. Todays focus, Dented Brick Premium Vodka is distilled from a unique combination of 80% pumpernickel rye and 20% red winter wheat that is milled, mashed, fermented, and distilled in house. The spirit is proofed with snow melt runoff from Utah’s Wasatch Mountains that flows through the earth into their artesian water well. The aroma leads with vanilla and rye bread. Additional time bring out floral, caramel, and berry notes. The sweet vanilla, raspberry, and floral entry is joined by mineral, caramel, and toasted rye bread building to a chocolate raspberry pastry peak. It fades with lemon and finishes with a sprinkle of white pepper, sea salt, caramel pecan rolls, mineral, and raspberry lemon pound cake.
