Johannes Van Leeuwen developed a process at Iowa State University for creating a vodka with 0 impurities. The process uses ozone to oxidize unwanted substances in the vodka that are then removed with activated carbon and nano noble metal filtration. The aroma is corn and vanilla with an alcohol backing. The creamy sweet corn entry is joined by vanilla flavor building to a vanilla frosted sweet corn peak. This is a very clean tasting vodka that fades with some heat and sting. It finishes crisp and semidry with charcoal taste and mineral texture.
