It is one of three flavors in their Red Stag line of bourbons, and one of six flavored bourbons currently made by Jim Beam in Frankfort Kentucky. It is made with their four year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon and it is infused with natural flavors including black cherry before bottling at 80 proof.The aroma is cherry, butterscotch, and bourbon. In my mouth the feel is soft and a little syrupy. The sweet bourbon flavored entry has notes of vanilla and caramel. Cherry arrives at the midpoint before fading with a mild mouth warming and more cherry flavor. This has the feel of a much lighter than 80 proof whiskey, and it is certainly smooth enough to drink on the rocks. While I was expecting more cherry flavor throughout, I thought the vanilla-caramel lead in was very tasty.
