Little Book Chapter 7 is the seventh chapter in the little book whiskey series. 4 Year Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey The aroma leads with clove, vanilla, oak, and warm brownie. Orange, leather, creamy and peanut butter follow. Additional time brings out floral, ripe banana, tobacco, and nutmeg. The sweet orange, cinnamon, vanilla, and cocoa entry is joined by caramel, tobacco, and leather building to a orange, vanilla, and oak peak. It fades with a hint of banana, caramel, and peanut butter and finishes with raspberry, oak, nutmeg, and clove. With each sip I pick up a little something missed in the previous sip. I could have probably added or subtracted a few flavor notes but in the end these are the ones that stood out most. Bottled at nearly 120 proof and with 7 different whiskey blends, fighting each other for tongue time there was the chance this could have gone off the tracks. It didn’t. Little Book Chapter Seven is a tasty well blended whiskey that drinks much lighter than the ABV on the bottles label.
