Review: Malibu Fizzy Pink Lemonade
Malibu Fizzy Pink Lemonade was introduced in February 2014. It is the newest of their 4 ready to drink cocktail flavors. The others are Cranberry, Pineapple, and Cola. All 4 start with Original Malibu Coconut rum and add flavoring before being packaged in 6.8 Oz cans at 5% alcohol. They are sold as a single can or in 4 packs. The 5% alcohol is in line with most hard ciders, hard lemonades, and the many flavored malt beverages. With Malibu Coconut rum weighing in at 21% alcohol, Fizzy Pink Lemonade is equal to a little more than a 3 to 1 mix of lemonade flavor to their rum.It pours to a pale pink color with medium carbonation. The aroma is fresh citrus and rum. The initial flavor is sweet lemon building to a tart carbonated pink lemonade peak before fading with some light rum flavor and just a hint of coconut. This is a very refreshing cocktail that tastes as good as it sounds.
