Meyer lemon arrives, bringing with it a significant potato vodka presence. The flavor builds to a fresh citrus peak. It fades with whole grapefruit, and finishes with a warm peppery sting, mineral, saline, and bittersweet citrus taste. Manifest Citrus Vodka is bottled at 80 proof. Most flavored vodka weigh in at 70 proof. Some top out at 60 proof. As such, I anticipated more of a vodka presence. While I could taste the potato vodka base and feel it’s warmth I never felt overwhelmed by it.
