Milagro Tequila Silver is made with 100% estate grown blue agave that have grown for 8-12 years in the red volcanic soil of the Jalisco Highlands. The hearts of the agave are slow roasted in clay ovens for 36 hours and then shredded and pressed to remove the agave juice. After fermentation, it is double distilled in copper lined pot stills, and then distilled a third time in stainless steel column stills. The Silver is then bottled in hand painted bottles at 80 proof. Milagro is Spanish for miracle and the company was formed by two Mexico City natives Danny Schneeweiss and Moy Guindi that were friends in college, who both shared a passion for tequila. It fades with a sprinkle of pepper and very little heat. While I pick up a little black pepper along with citrus taste on the finish, the third distillation, makes this a very smooth tequila.
