New Belgium Pumpkick Ale was introduced in 2013.  New Belgium is the fourth largest craft brewery in the US.  All of their beer is currently brewed in Ft. Collins but they will be opening a second brewery in Asheville North Carolina in early 2016.  Husband and wife team Jeff Lebesch and Kim Jordan started selling beer first brewed in their basement in 1991.  Their first two beers Abbey and Fat Tire are still available today.  New Belgium is a 100% Employee owned company with employees receiving stock and a new cruiser bike after one year of employment.  Pumpkick Ale is brewed with pumpkin juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cranberries, and lemon grass, and is available August-October.It pours to a golden pumpkin color with a full tan head.  The aroma is pumpkin, malt, and cinnamon with a hint of cranberry.  The pumpkin, and nutmeg flavored entry has a malty backing and a thinner mouth feel than most beer brewed with pumpkin.  Cranberry arrives and builds to a tart fruit peak.  It fades with cranberry and cinnamon taste with lemon grass arriving on the mild hoped finish.  This is a well crafted beer that offers a nice alternative to the 200 plus pumpkin beers on the market today.
