Review: Onda Sparkling Tequila Classic Collection
Onda Sparkling Tequila was created by Noah Gray, Max Dworin, Kelli Adams, and Shay Mitchell. Four friends obsessed with tequila soda. The team shared a vision to elevate the ready to drink alcohol space with a new take on their favorite drink. The 100% agave blanco tequila base comes from Destiladora Del Valle de Tequila, AKA Casa Maestri. Celia and Michael Maestri moved from Houston in 2008 and established the distillery. This women owned distillery currently produces 146 different tequila brands. Carbonated water, natural flavors, lime juice, and flavor specific fruit juice concentrate complete the labels ingredient list. Onda is sold in individual flavor four packs, and four flavor eight packs. Today we are reviewing their Classic Collection. We previously reviewed the Onda Tequila Seltzer Paradise Collection. They have since changed the brand name to Onda Sparkling Tequila Paradise Collection.
Onda Sparkling Tequila Lime: It pours to a cloudy lime juice color. The aroma leads with fresh squeezed lime and agave. The fresh lime entry is natural without being too tart. Agave arrives building to a lime tequila soda peak. It fades with refreshing sparkling lime, and finishes with tart lime and agave taste.

Onda Sparkling Tequila Grapefruit: The aroma leads with fresh peeled grapefruit. The grapefruit entry is so natural it brings back memories at the breakfast table eating the grapefruit my mom sliced in half and then lovingly cut each individual section of grapefruit so I could easily scoop each bite with my spoon. Lime juice arrives building to a grapefruit margarita peak. It fades with fresh grapefruit and finishes with agave, fresh grapefruit, and a squeeze of lime. I’ve had dozens of grapefruit flavored adult beverages and I can’t think of one with more real grapefruit taste.

Onda Sparkling Tequila Blood Orange: The aroma leads with orange. Additional time brings out agave and blood orange notes. The sweet blood orange entry is joined by lime and agave building to a juicy blood orange juice peak. It fades with orange juice and agave and finishes with tart lime, tangy blood orange and agave taste. Onda Blood Orange has more fruit juice flavor and more agave taste than the other four Onda varieties in this collection.
