Review: Pinnacle Salted Caramel Vodka

Pinnacle Salted Caramel - CopyPinnacle Salted Caramel vodka was introduced in September of 2013.  It is one of 40 flavors currently produced by Beam under the Pinnacle label.  It is made with pure French spring water and wheat and it is distilled 5 times in France before arriving in Frankfort Kentucky where imitation flavor is added.The aroma is sweet caramel.  The flavor leads with caramel and while I enjoy the caramel entry it doesn’t last long before it fades to a salty dry finish.  I don’t pick up any alcohol flavor but the one two punch of salt and vodka heat, KO the initial caramel taste, leaving me searching for a glass of water more than a second round.
