Review: Triple Eight Vanilla Vodka
Triple Eight Vanilla Vodka is crafted on the island of Nantucket located 30 miles south of Cape Cod Massachusetts. The vodka base is made from organic wheat grown in Italy and it is triple distilled in a pot still. Pure soft water drawn from well #888 is blended to reduce to proof. Real vanilla beans from both New Guinea and Madagascar are infused with the vodka with one very large vanilla bean included with each bottle. It pours to a golden caramel color with trace amounts of vanilla bean particulate. The aroma is vanilla extract and creamy natural vanilla bean. The sweet vanilla extract entry builds to a creamy vanilla bean ice cream peak. It fades with warm bittersweet vanilla flavor that carries through and is joined by vodka taste and a mild sting on the finish. Triple Eight Vanilla Vodka may be the most natural tasting vanilla flavored vodka on the market today, but it does finish a little bitter with some vodka heat and sting. If you are looking for a natural vanilla tasting vodka to mix in a cocktail, Triple Eight Vanilla Vodka will be hard to beat.
