Review: Truly Berry With Real Fruit Juice Mix Pack
On August 31 Boston Beer Company announced a reformulation of their entire original Truly Hard Seltzer product line. My first thought was I need to go out and purchase the current Truly so it would be easier to compare the old and new formulas. I guess I waiting too long as the new Truly, made with real fruit juice is already on stores shelves. I selected their Berry Mix pack to review first. The previous Truly Berry Mix Pack was made with Black Cherry, Wild Berry, Blueberry & Acai, and Raspberry Lime. The new Truly Berry Mix pack has replace Blueberry & Acai with Blueberry and Raspberry Lime with Strawberry Lime. Each new Truly flavor is made with real fruit juice. 2% in 3, almost 2% in the Black Cherry. Each still weigh in with 100 calories and 5% alcohol and the great news for me is none are made with stevia leaf sweetener.
Truly Black Cherry: Made with almost 2% Cherry Juice from concentrate. It pours to a cherry influenced pink color. The aroma leads with cherry pie filling. The dried cherry entry builds to a tart black cherry peak. There is a real cherry juice taste without the oversweet juice taste some of the other real fruit juice seltzers have. It fades with vanilla and black cherry and finishes with tart cherry pie, lime, mild foamy carbon seltzer taste.

Truly Wild Berry: Made with 2% strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry juice from concentrate. It pours to red berry influenced pink color. The nose leads with a very pleasant mixed berry with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry. Additional time brings out a hint of vanilla. The raspberry entry is joined by strawberry with real fruit berry flavor. Blackberry arrives at the midpoint. It fades with wild berry fruit flavor and finishes with subtle carbon seltzer, vanilla, and sour berry taste.

Truly Blueberry: Made with 2% blueberry juice from concentrate. It pours to a blueberry juice influenced pink/purple color. The nose leads with floral wild blueberry. The blueberry jam entry builds to a vanilla blueberry peak. It fades with tart blueberry and vanilla butter cream and finishes with blueberry pie, lime, and mild carbon seltzer taste.

Truly Strawberry Lime: Made with 2% Strawberry Juice and Lime Juice from concentrate. The aroma leads with strawberry milk shake and lime juice. The strawberry preserve entry is joined by lime juice building to a strawberry lime peak. It fades with vanilla, strawberry and lime and finishes with carbon seltzer, strawberry soda and lime juice taste.
