Review: Truly Vodka Seltzer
The Truly Vodka Seltzer four flavor 8 pack was just released. 2022 has been quite a busy year for Truly as they introduced several variety packs including Truly Margarita Style, and Truly Poolside. They revamped all three of their original hard seltzer variety packs to now include real fruit juice. Truly also partnered with Beam Suntory to create three flavored vodka’s. Truly Vodka Seltzer is made with premium six-times distilled vodka, real fruit juice from concentrate, and natural flavors. The four flavor varieties include Blackberry & Lemon, Cherry & Lime, Pineapple & Cranberry, and Peach & Tangerine. Each 12 oz. slim can weighs in with 110 calories and 5% alcohol.
Truly Peach & Tangerine Vodka Seltzer: Made with peach and tangerine juice from concentrate. The aroma leads with ripe peach. Additional time brings out Mandarin orange. The tangerine juice entry is joined immediately with sliced peach taste building to a juicy tangerine and peach juice peak. It fades with tart peach and tangy tangerine and finishes with sour peach and sugar dusted whole tangerine taste. While I enjoyed both the peach and tangerine juice flavors they spend more time fighting each other for flavor dominance as opposed to offering a blended juice taste.

Truly Pineapple & Cranberry Vodka Seltzer: Made with Pineapple and Cranberry juice from concentrate. It pours to a pale pink color. The aroma leads with fresh sliced tropical pineapple. The sweet pineapple entry builds to a juicy pineapple juice peak. It fades with tart cranberry and finishes with tangy pineapple, subtle vodka, and sweet homemade cranberry sauce taste.

Truly Cherry & Lime Vodka Seltzer: Made with Cherry and Lime juices from concentrate. It pours to a bright pink color. The aroma leads with Lifesavers Wild Cherry candy. Additional time brings out cherry punch notes. The sweet cherry licorice entry is joined by lime juice building to a Regal Crown Sour Cherry candy and lime slush peak. It fades with lime and cherry pie filling leaving subtle corn vodka, tart lime, and juicy cherry juice, leaving cherry fruit punch taste. I liked this flavor a bit more the first few sips. Over time it comes off a little sweet.

Truly Blackberry & Lemon Vodka Seltzer: Made with Blackberry and Lemon Juices from concentrate. It pours to a deep pink color. The aroma leads with smashed blackberry and fresh squeezed lemonade. Additional time brings out corn vodka notes. The tart lemon and juicy blackberry entry is joined by corn vodka building to a sour lemon juice and ripe blackberry peak. It fades with lemon juice, corn vodka, and fresh blackberry taste.
Grade: B+
The Bottom Line: Truly continues to push the envelop by increasing not only the flavor intensity of their seltzers but also the sweetness. The vodka taste is for the most part subtle with a little more showing up with the Blackberry & Lemon flavor.
