Review: 477 Distilling Peanut Barrel Whiskey

Matt Estrin opened Tower 56 Distilling in Downtown Greeley Colorado in 2018.  The distillery was named for a lifeguard tower in Newport Beach that had special meaning to his family.  He has since rebranded to 477 Distilling, named for the winning vote margin in a Greeley city wide vote in 1969 which finally allowed for the sale of alcohol in Greeley Colorado.  477 makes several spirits including bourbon, rye, gin, several  liqueurs, vodka, flavored vodka, and flavored whiskey, including 477 Distilling Peanut Barrel Whiskey.  477 Peanut Barrel is made from a sourced bourbon aged for 6 months.  After 50 prototypes they selected a formula that included 3 different extracts and a bit of agave syrup.
