O'Dowd's Irish CreamMade in small batches in Bailieboro Ireland from an O’Dowd’s family recipe, O’Dowd’s Irish cream is imported by Heavenly Wine and Spirits, Roslyn Heights New York.  I’ve only seen O’Dowd”s Irish cream sold at Sam’s Wholesale Clubs.  At one time Sam’s also sold a Pumpkin version of O’Dowd’s but I haven’t seen it lately. Review: McCormicks Irish Cream Liqueur

mccormick irish creamMcCormicks Irish cream liqueur is made in Abbeyleix Ireland and it is produced to McCormick Distilling specifications.  Some of the other brands owned by McCormick Distilling of Weston Missouri include 360 vodka, Tequila Rose, and a full line sold under the McCormick name, including the world’s second best selling American made vodka.  If you have not heard of the McCormick line of alcohol you may be surprised to learn you have probably drank it before as they are a very popular house brand at bars and restaurants. Review: Adult Strawberry Milk

Adult Strawberry MilkIntroduced in September of 2012, Adult Strawberry Milk was the second of four flavors now in the Adult Beverage Companies product line.  It was created by two moms, former High School classmates and bottled in Temperance Michigan at 20% alcohol in their trademark frosted square bottle.  Adult Strawberry Milk would not look out of place in the dairy case at your local grocer, and it stands out in the liqueur section at the liquor store. Review: Mollys Pumpkin Spice Irish Cream Liqueur

Mollys PumpkinMollys pumpkin spice Irish Cream liqueur was introduced in 2011, and it is made in Bailieboro Ireland.  It is the second of three flavors produced by Terra’s under the Molly’s name.  In the bottle the aroma is fresh baked pumpkin pie.  In a glass the scent is more pumpkin ice cream.  It pours to a creamy orange brown color and a medium consistency.  In my mouth it feels creamy and a little thicker than their other flavors. Review: Choco Lat Deluxe Chocolate Liqueur

choco latAfter finding the chocolate flavored liqueur market was filled with either high priced cream based liqueurs or low priced wine based spirits, the M.S. Walker Co. created Choco Lat Deluxe Chocolate Liqueur.  The ingredient list includes the finest chocolate, all natural cream, and premium spirit.  Introduced in 2011, the same year they acquired 15 brands of alcohol from White Rock Distillery in Lewiston Maine, it is bottled in a clear Pinnacle vodka shaped bottle. Review: Fultons Harvest Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur

Fulton's Harvest PumkinPie Cream LiqueurFultons Harvest Pumpkin Pie is made by Heaven Hill in Bardstown Kentucky.  Introduced nationally in 2011 they were the first pumpkin pie cream liqueur.  It is available each September – November, but supply is limited.  Bottled at 12.5% alcohol which compare to the 17% Irish cream’s typically weigh in at, they set the standard other pumpkin pie liqueurs have followed.  The alcohol used in production is grain alcohol. Review: Mothers Pumpkin Spice Cream Liqueur

Mother Pumpkin SpiceMothers Pumpkin Spice cream liqueur is made in Princeton Minnesota and is bottled at 12.5% alcohol.  They are part of the Crosby Lakes Spirits Company that produces the Ricacha and Kinky brands and imports the Greenall’s Gin and Merry’s Irish Cream lines.  This product arrives in stores in September and is usually gone after Thanksgiving. Review: Molly’s Irish Cream Liqueur

Mollys new pack shotMolly’s Irish cream is made in a former Baileys production facility.  In the early 1990’s Patsy McKevitt lead a management buyout of this facility and formed Terra LTD.  A former General Manager of R&J Emmet and a Senior role at Bailey’s are part of the 20 plus years of experience he had developing and producing Irish cream liqueurs.  For years they continued to exclusively supply a range of cream liqueurs for Baileys while simultaneously building up their contract manufacturing.  Today they continue to produce several brands for others while producing three of their own.  Inspired by the mythical Irish muse at the heart of countless Celtic poems and songs, Molly’s is one of these brands.  Introduced in 2004, today we will review Molly’s Original Irish Cream Liqueur.
