Review: 21 Seeds Valencia Orange Tequila
21 Seeds Valencia Orange Tequila is one of three flavor infused tequilas created by sisters Kat Hantas, and Nicole Hantas-Emanuel, and their close friend Sarika Singh. The other flavors are Grapefruit Hibiscus, and Cucumber Jalapeno. It is distilled at the female owned and operated Casa Maestri. The 100% agave tequila base is infused with Valencia oranges grown in Vera Cruz and other natural flavors. A custom built refrigeration system was built at the distillery to ensure all ingredients maintain their optimum freshness prior to infusion. Read more 
Review: 1800 Coconut Tequila
1800 Coconut Tequila was released in 2016. 1800 is named for the first year tequila was barrel aged. 1800 Coconut starts with a 100% Weber blue agave base made from agave grown for 8-12 years. The spirit is double distilled. A special selection of white tequila is blended together for added complexity and character. The tequila is then infused with natural ripe coconut flavor. Read more
Review: Libre Pineapple Tequila
Libre Pineapple Tequila is one of seven flavor infused tequilas made from a 100% Weber Blue agave base at Tequila el Viejito, a distillery with 80 years of experience producing the highest quality tequila. The other flavors include Melon, Red Pepper, Mango, Cinnamon, Mint Chocolate, and Cucumber. The agave is grown for 8-10 years in the Highland Region before it is hand selected and cut into quarters and brick oven cooked. It is double distilled in stainless steel and copper stills. Review: Dulce Vida Pineapple Jalapeno Tequila
Dulce Vida Pineapple Jalapeno Tequila was just released. It joins a flavored tequila lineup that includes Grapefruit and Lime. Dulce Vida is produced in the Village of San Ignacio Cerro Gordo with 100% Organic blue agave grown for eight years to a height of about 5 foot tall. The pinas weighing up to 200 pounds are chopped and slow roasted for 20 hours in steel auto claves. After cooking, the pinas are milled and rinsed. The by-product of the milling, is a sweet liquid called “must” or honey water. A proprietary yeast strain is added and a slow open air fermentation follows. Master Distiller Carlos Jurado double distills the tequila. Real pineapple, jalapeno, and natural flavors are infused with the tequila base before bottling at 70 proof. Read more

Rock N Roll Mango Tequila was recently released. It comes in a Les Paul Guitar shaped bottle. Some of the best guitar players of all time including Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Slash, Joe Perry and Jerry Garcia have all performed with a Les Paul guitar. Flavored tequilas are still in their infancy in the US. They are much more popular in Mexico. Mango, Lime and Cinnamon are the most popular flavored tequilas sold in the US. Dulce Vida Grapefruit Tequila is one of two new fruit infused 100% agave tequilas recently released by Milestone Brands. They join an 80 proof Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo tequila also recently introduced. Dulce Vida was launched in Austin Texas in 2009 with a 100 proof organic tequila. In the same town one year later Deep Eddy’s Sweet Tea Vodka was released by Clayton Christopher who created and later sold the Sweet Tea Brand, and Chad Auler the founder of Savvy Vodka. In 2013 Eric Dopkins was hired as Deep Eddy’s CEO. After selling Deep Eddy Vodka for around $400 million dollars in September 2015, Chad and Eric formed Milestone Brands. Since than they have acquired both the Dulce Vida tequila brand and the American Born Moonshine Brand. Review: Peligroso Cinnamon Tequila
Peligroso Cinnamon tequila was introduced March 2013. The English translation of peligroso is dangerous. Does this and the glass embossed attacking rattle snake found on the front and bottom of the bottle foreshadow danger ahead? Diageo acquired the Peligroso brand January 2014. It is made with 100% Blue Agave grown in red volcanic soil in the highlands of Jalisco Mexico. Peligroso takes the extra step of removing the bitter center core of the agave before the hearts are steamed in brick ovens. Review: El Jimador Mexican Lime Tequila
El Jimador Mexican Lime tequila was introduced with their new Mango Mango tequila in nine states on National Tequila day, July 24. A Mexican lime is in the same family as the Key lime but it has a thicker skin and ripens to a darker green color. Mexican Lime is crafted at Casa Herradura and it starts with El Jimador silver tequila, the best selling tequila in Mexico. This 100% blue agave tequila is double distilled to remove impurities. Mexican lime is infused with the tequila before bottling at 35% alcohol. Read more

El Jimador Mango Mango tequila was introduced in nine states including CA, FL, GA, IL, MD, OR, TN, TX, and WA on National Tequila Day, July 24. Mexican Lime, another new flavor was also introduced in the same states. Mango Mango starts with their 100% Blue Agave tequila that is double distilled to remove impurities before it is blended with a mango liqueur and bottled at 35% alcohol. A Jimador is a Mexican farmer who harvest agave when they are just right. The name and the embossed bottle is a tribute to the work they do. Read more
