Van Gogh Banana vodka was introduced in 2006. It is one of 22 flavored vodka’s they craft in Holland. They also create 2 unflavored vodka’s and a gin. A blend of wheat, corn, barley, and purified water is double distilled in a column still. A third distillation in a copper pot still in small batches follows. Banana’s grown in Venezuela are infused with the vodka using a six week double infusion process before bottling at 70 proof. Read more

Stoli Gala Applik vodka was introduced in the summer of 2009. It is one of 17 vodka flavors they craft with wheat and pure artesian well water. It is triple distilled and filtered four times through quartz, sand, and finally charcoal from Russian birch. Natural Gala apple flavor is infused, before bottling at 70 proof. The Gala apple is the second best selling apple in the US. It was first breed in New Zealand in the 1930’s, and it is a cross between a Golden Delicious and a Kidd’s Orange Red apple. Read more

Sobieski Black Cherry vodka was introduced with their Toasted Coconut, and Lemon Meringue flavors February 2012. It is one of twelve vodka varieties made in Stargard Odanski Poland under the Sobieski label for the US market. Sobieski is the number one selling vodka in Poland. It is crafted with Dankowski Rye and crystalline water from Oligocene springs. It is continuously distilled before natural flavors are added. Hangar One Fraser River Raspberry vodka is crafted in small batches once a year with their original Hangar One vodka as a base. It is made with a blend of pot distilled Vigonier grapes and column distilled American grown wheat. Fresh red Meeker raspberries from the Fraser River Valley in Washington are macerated and distilled with this vodka. Raspberry juice is later blended before bottling in a dark green UV bottle to protect the delicate raspberry. Hangar One was acquired by Proximo in 2010, and while they have moved the distillation to a hangar across the street, they have not changed how they craft the vodka. However, Fraser River Raspberry, Spiced Pear, and Chipotle are three vodka flavors that no longer appear on the Hangar One website. Read more
Review: Pravda Caramel Vodka
Pravda Caramel vodka is one of seven vodka flavors Pravda creates in Poland with their original vodka as a base. It is made in small batches with pristine ice cold Carpathian mountain spring water and local late harvest sweet rye. They use a five step continuous distillation process that includes two extra high column stills. This is followed by an extra distillation in a copper still to soften the taste. It is then filtered with charcoal made from French Birchwood. A cold stabilization process where the vodka passes through ultra technical filters under high pressure is then used. 4 Orange vodka was introduced October 2009. It is the world’s first vodka made exclusively from Florida oranges. The four orange varieties used to craft this vodka are Hamlin, Temple, Valencia, and Parson Brown. Each 750ML bottle of 4 Oranges contains the juice from 20 Florida oranges. The orange juice is processed into a citrus molasses that is blended with fresh Florida water and a special yeast. A continuous distillation process is used before bottling at 80 proof. Read more

The others include Original Lyte, Orange Vanilla, Raspberry Cocoa, Espresso Vanilla, and Mango Coconut. If the name sounds familiar it might be because of their front man, Mr. World Wide, Pitbull, who is also a majority owner. These vodka’s weigh in at 60 proof, lighter than the 70-80 proof most other vodka’s tip the scale at. They also have no sugar added which translates to 80 calories per 1 1/2 oz. serving.
