Three Olives vanilla - CopyThree Olives Vanilla vodka was introduced January 2003.  It is one of 27 vodka flavors Three-O creates in England with vodka made from English winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales that is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal.  Natural flavors are added in Lawrenceburg Indiana where it is bottled at 35% alcohol.  Three-O Vanilla vodka was one of the first vanilla flavored vodka’s on the market but with over twenty vanilla flavored vodka’s to choose from and new competition from cake and whipped cream flavored vodka’s the competition has intensified. smirnoff sorbet light white peach - CopySmirnoff Sorbet Light White Peach is the newest Sorbet Light vodka flavor Smirnoff creates with 78 calories per 1.5 Oz. serving.  Smirnoff launched their Sorbet Light line March 2013 with three flavors.  White Peach is their sixth flavor.  They start with their Recipe 21 vodka which is made with American grain that is triple distilled and filtered ten times before natural flavors are infused.  White peaches differ from the more popular yellow peaches in more than just color.  White peaches are typically sweeter and less acidic than yellow peaches. Review: Grey Goose Cherry Noir Vodka

grey goose cherry noir - CopyGrey Goose Cherry Noir vodka was introduced April 2012.  It is one of five flavored vodkas Grey Goose has created to complement their original Grey Goose.  It is made in France with soft winter wheat and pristine spring water that has been naturally filtered through Champaign limestone from the Cognac region of France.  It is distilled using a five column distillation process.  Spring water filtered through double reverse osmosis is blended with the vodka before it is filtered through cellulose and carbon.  The rarest black cherries from orchards in the Southwest of France are delivered to a parfumerie where the flavors and aromas are extracted.  These essential oils are then blended with their original vodka. Review: Stoli Cranberi Vodka

Stoli Cranberi vodka - CopyStoli Cranberi vodka was introduced November 2005.  It is one of 17 flavors created by Stoli in Latvia starting with wheat and pure artisian well water that is triple distilled and filtered four times before natural flavors are added.  The cranberry is one of three fruits commercially grown that are native to North America.  The others are Concord grape and blueberry.  Originally used by native Americans for food, dyes and medicine, cranberries are still primarily grown in North America with Wisconsin and Massachusetts the leading suppliers.  Read more »

Review: Svedka Vanilla Vodka

Svedka vanilla - CopySvedka Vanilla vodka is one of 11 vodkas made in Sweden by Svedka.  Every 750ML bottle of Svedka starts with 4 pounds of Swedish Winter wheat.  Ice cold water from underground springs and yeast is added before a continuous distillation process is used.  The vodka is then run through high-performance purification columns five seperate times to remove impurities.  Pure vanilla beans are then infused for three months before bottling at 75 proof. Review: Smirnoff Watermelon Vodka

Smirnoff Watermelon - CopySmirnoff Watermelon vodka was the first to introduce a watermelon flavored vodka in 2004.  It was originally called Smirnoff Watermelon Twist.  While it is ten years old, nothing screams Forth of July more than watermelon, except maybe Hot Dogs and I’m not going to be reviewing a Hot Dog flavored vodka anytime soon.  It is made in the US with premium grain spirits and natural watermelon flavors and it is bottled at 35% alcohol.  It is one of 37 different flavors of Smirnoff vodka currently available. UV Whipped - CopyUV Whipped vodka was introduced June 2012 with their Chocolate Cake flavored vodka.  It is one of 21 vodkas they create with yellow corn and purified water from deep aquifers in Princeton Minnesota.  UV Whipped is distilled four times then filtered with activated carbon before natural flavors are added. Review: Cupcake Frosting Vodka

Cupcake frosting vodka - CopyCupcake Frosting vodka was introduced April 2011 and it was one of six vodka flavors Cupcake created in California.  As of this publication production has ceased, making this a Ghost Spirit.  Vodka does not go bad so you may still find an orphan bottle at your local liquor store.  It is made with select American grain and is distilled six times.  It was part of  The Wine Group based in Livermore California the producers of some of America’s  best selling wines including Franzia, Mogen David, Almaden, Fish Eye, Flip Flop and of coarse Cupcake Vineyards. Review: PomAcai Vodka

Pomacai vodka - CopyPomAcai vodka was introduced November 2012.  It is the second vodka from Pure Holdings. Their first Purus, was originally owned and developed by Anhueser Busch through their Long Tail Libations subsidiary.  A-B spent two years and millions of dollars developing Purus through a distillery in Northern Italy.  When Inbev acquired A-B they were shut down.  The division was initially acquired by Fire Tail who then sold the business to Pure Holdings two years later.  The first thing they did was to hire two former executives from A-B that were involved with the brand development, packaging and procurement to help run the company.
