Review: Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey
Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey was launched August 2016. The whiskey was created by Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard. Yes, the same Brian and Tyler from Florida Georgia Line. This is the first of what promises to be an expanded line of whiskey. A straight whisky will be available in December. Old Camp starts with an American Whiskey base made in Lawrenceburg Indiana. The whiskey is aged for a minimum of two years in white oak barrels with a number 3 char. It is then infused with natural southern peach and pecan flavor and bottled at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Crown Royal Vanilla
Crown Royal Vanilla Whisky was just released. It is their fourth flavor infused whisky and comes just 3 months after the launch of Crown Royal Honey. Wouldn’t it be great if we could count on a new Crown Royal flavor every quarter? Crown Royal Vanilla is crafted with corn, rye, and barley with pure water naturally filtered through limestone. After distilling, the whisky is aged in oak barrels and then infused with the rich flavor of Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla. The trademark velvet bag included in the box is not white like the Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla flower or the ice cream flavor, but rather brown like the bean itself. Read more

Review: Bird Dog Ruby Red Grapefruit Whiskey
Bird Dog Ruby Red Grapefruit Whiskey was just released along with their Strawberry Whiskey flavor. Bird Dog may not be the best selling whiskey, or even the best selling flavored whiskey brand, but with ten whiskey flavors, they have the most extensive flavored whiskey product line. Bird Dog Ruby Red Grapefruit starts with a base made from corn, malted barley and rye. The whiskey is aged in white oak barrels. Grapefruit flavor is infused before bottling at 80 proof. Read more

The Western Springs Beverage Company now produces ten whiskey flavors including Maple, Chocolate, Apple, Blackberry, Peach, Spiced, Jalapeno Honey, and Hot Cinnamon under the Bird Dog label. Review: Crown Royal Honey Whisky
Crown Royal Honey Whisky was just released. It is their third flavor infused whisky. The others include Maple and Regal Apple. Crown Royal Regal Apple is in my opinion the best tasting flavored whisky on the market today. When I posted my review of Regal Apple October 2014 I correctly predicted Crown’s next flavor might be Honey. In fairness I thought it might be Honey, Cinnamon, or Cherry. Each of these flavors would have been safe picks since there are several already produced. For 2017 I’m challenging Crown to create a Summer Seasonal flavor, possibly Coconut, or Pineapple. Crown Royal Honey starts with pure water naturally filtered through limestone, corn, rye, and barley. After distilling the whisky is aged in oak barrels and then hand selected before natural flavors are infused. In case you are wondering the bag is golden yellow. Read more
Review: Revel Stoke Cinnamon Whisky
Revel Stoke Cinnamon Whisky as the name would imply is another Fireball clone. It is one of six Canadian Whisky varieties currently made by the Phillips Distilling Company under the Revel Stoke label. The other flavors include Pineapple, Spiced, Pecan, Apple, and their Original Blended Canadian Whisky. Revel Stoke is made with a blend of rye, corn, and barley malt that is triple distilled in copper stills. The whisky is aged for 3 years in charred white oak barrels. A blend of warm Ceylon and Saigon Cinnamon are infused before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Revel Stoke Roasted Pineapple Whisky
Revel Stoke Roasted Pineapple Whisky was just released. It joins a whisky lineup that includes Spiced, Cinnamon, Pecan, Apple, and their Original Blended Canadian Whisky. They also created a seasonal Pumpkin Spiced Whisky. Revel Stoke is made with a blend of rye, corn, and barley malt that is triple distilled in copper stills. The whisky is aged for 3 years in charred white oak barrels. Natural roasted pineapple flavors are infused before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Uncle Bobs Root Beer Whiskey
Uncle Bobs Root Beer Whiskey is made in Mira Loma California by the 49 Distilling and Whiskey House, a division of private label distiller and bottler Levecke. It was released in 2014, so I really can’t say it was developed to capitalize on the Hard Root Beer craze. This is the second root beer flavored whiskey I’m aware of. The other is Jeremiah Weed Sarsaparilla Whiskey. Uncle Bob’s blends aged whiskey with natural root beer flavors and caramel color and is bottled at 70 proof. Read more
Review: Penningtons Peach Apricot Rye
Penningtons Peach Apricot Rye was introduced along with a Vanilla Rye in July 2015. The first bottles of both are just arriving in my market. They join the previously released and reviewed Strawberry Rye. Each is made at the Speak Easy Distillery in Nashville Tennessee. The distillery was opened by the husband and wife team of Jeff and Jenny Pennington in 2012. This Distillery also crafts Pickers Vodka, and Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream. Penningtons starts with a 100% rye mash bill whiskey crafted in small batches. A natural blend of peach and apricot flavor is infused before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
