Review: Arcadia Grapefruit Vodka
Arcadia Grapefruit Vodka is one of eight flavored vodka’s distilled and infused at the OHSO Brewery and Distillery in Scottsdale Arizona. The other seven flavors include Meyer Lemon, Orange, Coffee, Horseradish, Jalapeno, Cucumber, and Rosemary. I have enjoyed OHSO beers for years while vacationing in Arizona. Arcadia Grapefruit starts with a vodka base distilled from sugarcane. Dried grapefruit peel is soaked in vodka. The infused vodka is then redistilled and the distillate is mixed with real grapefruit peel extract and the natural sugars and acids found in real grapefruit: sucrose, glucose, fructose, citric acid, and malic acid. Review: Absolut Grapefruit Vodka
Absolut Grapefruit Vodka was just released. If you thought Absolut already had a grapefruit flavored vodka, you would be correct. Absolut Ruby Red was one of the first grapefruit flavored vodka’s when in was launched in 2006. Absolut Ruby Red is still shown as available on the Absolut Vodka website. Absolut Grapefruit is crafted from a vodka base made from Swedish winter wheat sourced from 450 local farms. One Kilo of wheat is needed to create one liter of vodka. The wheat is milled onsite and blended with water and a proprietary yeast, and fermented for 2 days. A continuous distillation process is used with steel column stills and copper plates. The vodka is filtered once through a mesh filter. Pure deep well water that comes from naturally filtered aquifers is softened through reverse osmosis and then blended with the vodka to reduce to proof. All natural flavors are infused with the vodka. No sugar is added before bottling at 80 proof. Read more

Review: High Noon Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
High Noon Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka was just released along with a Lemon and an unflavored vodka. My first thought when I saw this bottle, and read the label that stated it was produced and bottled in Weston Missouri was, did 360 Vodka change it’s name? This is the same distillery that makes the 360 brand of vodka, but High Noon is the newest member in the growing line of spirits under the E&J Gallo umbrella. The others include New Amsterdam Vodka and Gin, Camarena Tequila, Rum Haven Coconut Rum, E&J Brandy, and Shellback Rum. High Noon is currently only available in Denver, Charleston, and Madison Wisconsin. High Noon Ruby Red Grapefruit starts with their unflavored vodka base made from hand selected Midwest corn. Natural flavor including real fruit juice is added. No artificial flavors, preserves or corn syrup are added before bottling at 70 proof. Read more
