Review: Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
Godiva Chocolate Liqueur is one of three chocolate liqueurs in their current product line. White Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate are the other two. At one time they also created a Milk Chocolate, Mocha, and Caramel flavored liqueur. The Godiva Chocolatier Company was founded in Belgium in 1926 and it was sold to Campbell Soup in 1967, who sold to the Yildiz Holding Company, the largest consumer goods manufacturer in Turkey in 2007. The brand is named for Lady Godiva. Read more

Review: Clement Mahina Coco
Clement Mahina Coco is crafted in Martinique at a former sugar plantation that was purchased by Homere Clement in 1887 when it went into bankruptcy during the peak of the sugar crisis. He made the investment to transform the plantation into a producer of Rhum Agricole. Mahina Coco is made with their Premiere Canne rhum. This rhum is made with juice from the first pressing of sugar cane and it is distilled once. The rhum rests for 9 months in a stainless steel vat and is slowly reduced with distilled volcanic spring water. Pieces of young coconut is soused in the rhum agricole before it is bottled at 36 proof. Read more
Review: Maloneys Irish Country Cream
Maloneys Irish Country Cream is crafted by Terra’s, in Bailieboro, County Cavan Ireland. Terra’s also creates Molly’s, and is the contract producer of Coole Swan, Brady’s, and O’Dowd’s Irish Cream. If that’s not a full enough resume, their management team also helped build the Emmets and Baileys line of Irish Cream liqueurs. All of these Irish Creams are produced and bottled in the original Emmets building that was later purchased by Baileys. It is now home to Terra’s, the world’s largest family owned producer of Irish Cream liqueurs. There are a number of things I look forward to. This list includes the start of football season, weekend’s, vacations, and sampling Irish Cream liqueurs made by Terra’s. Maloney’s Irish Country Cream is made with rich Irish dairy cream, premium milk chocolate, Madagascar vanilla, grape wine imported from Spain, and Irish spirits. It is bottled at 27.8 proof, lighter than the 34 proof their whiskey based Irish Cream liqueurs are bottled at. Read more
Review: Wild Turkey American Honey
Wild Turkey American Honey was introduced in 2006. It is a blend of their Wild Turkey Bourbon and pure honey. Wild Turkey bourbon starts with US grown corn, rye, and barley malt and pure water from the Kentucky river. They use a continuous still distillation process and then age the bourbon in new white oak #4 Alligator char barrels. After it is two years old it is tasted annually until it is fully matured. Wild Turkey is a blend of 6,7, and 8 year old bourbon. Once mature it is poured through a filtration system before it is bottled, or in this case until it is blended with pure honey and bottled at 71 proof. Read more

Review: Fultons Harvest Apple Pie Liqueur
Fultons Harvest Apple Pie liqueur was introduced in 2013. It was the first and to my knowledge it is still the only apple pie cream liqueur on the market today. Heaven Hill Distillery also introduced the first pumpkin pie cream liqueur with their Fultons Harvest Pumpkin Pie liqueur in 2010. FH Apple Pie is made with neutral grain spirits, and natural flavors from apple, caramel, brown sugar, and cinnamon. It is bottled at 25 proof in Bardstown Kentucky and it is available from September-November, or while supply lasts each year. Read more
Review: Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum Cream
Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum Cream was just introduced and it will only be available for a limited time. Every bottle they created has already been sold to their distributors and once its gone, it’s gone. It joins the four year round rums created by country music star Kenny Chesney and Mike Booth, the Master Distiller at The West Indies rum Distillery in Barbados. They start with their Coconut rum and add real cream, with island and holiday spices before bottling at 30 proof in a holiday red bottle even Santa would approve of. Read more
Review: Sweet Revenge Liqueur
Sweet Revenge Liqueur was introduced in 2012. It was created by Independence Spirits, the company also behind Domaine De Canton, a ginger and cognac liqueur. They describe Sweet Revenge as the Original Wild Strawberry Sour Mash Liqueur. It is made in Philadelphia Pennsylvania with sour mash whiskey and natural flavors including wild strawberry and tangy citrus. The color is also natural. It is bottled at a healthy 77 proof so it should not be confused with the similar colored Kinky or X-Rated liqueurs which are produced at 34 proof. $1 from every 750ml bottle sold in October goes to breast cancer support nationwide.
